Job Description
We are looking for a talented Cook/Chef to join our team at St Andrews Care Home in Hamilton. As a key member of our Kitchen team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and ensuring that our residents' individual food and nutritional needs are met through delicious menu programs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement menu programs that meet the dietary needs of our residents
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with food safety standards
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure that all aspects of food service are met
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ingredients
- Participate in special events and functions to showcase our culinary skills
Requirements
- A relevant NZQA culinary qualification or equivalent is preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is essential
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, care, and passion for making a difference in our residents' lives
- Ensure resident confidentiality
- Reliable transport or travel arrangements
