About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Administration Officer to join our team at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administration of research processes, secretariat duties for the Strategic Research and Translational Thrust (SRTT) Central Initiative, and executing policies and processes pertaining to the administration of SRTT Central Initiative.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Administer research processes and procedures.
  • Provide secretariat support for SRTT Central Initiative meetings and activities.
  • Execute policies and processes related to SRTT Central Initiative administration.
  • Communicate SRTT operating framework to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Programme Director, Scientific Programme Manager, and other stakeholders on pre- and post-award matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional units to implement operational strategies and ensure sustainability.
  • Budget SRTT funds and monitor budget utilization.
  • Review progress of SRTT programmes to ensure KPIs, milestones, and budget utilization are on track.
  • Develop and implement best practices in research management within A*STAR.

Requirements:

  • Good tertiary degree with knowledge of STEM discipline.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Self-starter mindset, resourceful, and driven to deliver results under tight timelines.
  • Meticulous, well-organized, and detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
  • Experience in data analytics (e.g., PowerBI) is an advantage.
