Our Training Program
We take pride in our comprehensive training course, designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as an AB technician. The program includes hands-on training at one of our seven training sites throughout New Zealand, where you'll gain practical experience working alongside experienced technicians.

What to Expect
If you're successful in your application, you'll undergo a 12-month apprenticeship program, during which you'll:

  1. Complete a two-week training course, covering the fundamentals of artificial breeding and genetics.
  2. Work alongside an experienced AB technician, gaining valuable hands-on experience and insights into the role.
  3. Submit and pass four national unit standards administered by Primary ITO, demonstrating your competence in key areas of the role.

Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Have the right to work in New Zealand.
  • Meet the minimum height requirement of 160cm.
  • Possess basic computer literacy, including the ability to operate a smartphone and iPad.
