Fitter - Injection

**Job Description**:

**About this opportunity**

This position will ensure the efficient and safe running of the manufacturing process. Will assist the Operations Manager / Injection Technician so that products are delivered in full, to the correct quality specification, and on time in line with the requirements of the manufacturing plan whilst making H & S our first priority.

This role will work Night Shifts.

**Your key responsibilities will be to**:

- Preform mould change overs / insert changes / col changes.
- Start up work centres and ensure product complies with quality spec.
- Carry out routine maintenance / cleaning of mc and tools.
- Assist operating staff when required to relieve / operate m/c / material + col change tasks.
- Carry out housekeeping and Lean requirements.
- Actively seek engineering solutions to Health & Safety issues
- Ensure that product conforms to quality specification at start up and throughout the run.
- Maintain contact with the Injection Technician for prioritising of work, quality issues and work centre issues.

**Your skills and experience**

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
**_ Essential _**
- Plastics Trade qualification / or relevant Injection molding experience
- Able to work with Injection machinery control systems.
- Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance systems
- Can demonstrate written, oral and communication skills in line with the requirements of the role.
- Demonstrated mechanical experience.
- Safety first attitude

**_ Desirable_**
- Plastics Trade qualification or relevant hands-on industry experience
- Thorough understanding of all the manufacturing processes utilized.
- Maintain a current first aid certificate
