Job Description
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology invites applications for a part-time lecturer position in Afrikaans Language and Culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Afrikaans Home Language at secondary school level and contributing to the development of teaching experiences for students in the Senior and FET phase.

Key Performance Areas
  • Teach Afrikaans Language and Culture to students in the Senior and FET phase.
  • Develop and evaluate teaching experiences for students.
  • Maintain high-quality academic standards and adhere to curriculum requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to students through coaching and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience.
Requirements
  • A relevant Master's degree or Honors degree for Junior Lecturer.
  • A Bachelor's degree with Afrikaans as a major.
  • At least five (5) years' experience in teaching Afrikaans at secondary level or two (2) years relevant teaching at the tertiary level.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience in preparing and evaluating teaching experiences.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English.
