Job Summary

The Substitute School Nurse will provide medical care to students in a school setting, managing health issues and ensuring the well-being of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage school clinic visits and intervene with potential health problems
  • Assist with decision-making and provide health care procedures
  • Maintain individual student health records and establish professional communication with stakeholders
  • Support chronic health conditions and dispense physician-ordered medications
  • Use equipment and supplies as ordered by healthcare providers

Requirements

Applicants must possess a current RN license and CHRC certification through the Maine Department of Education.
