About the Role

The Maternal Mental Health Service provides a comprehensive specialist multi-disciplinary mental health service to pregnant and post-partum women who experience moderate to severe mental health-related issues during this period.

Our Community-Based Service

We offer a range of treatment options that include in-home support, a purpose-built mother and baby respite unit, plus access to a regional mother and baby inpatient unit should the need arise.

About You

We are seeking an experienced social worker with a good understanding of adult mental health needs who has an interest in the complexity of the perinatal period including the mother-baby relationship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing and engaging with clients to provide tailored support
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to mothers and their babies
