About the Role

The position of Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assistant-Trainee at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a highly sought-after specialty. As a trainee, you will receive exceptional training in anaesthesia support, working closely with experienced professionals to deliver safe and effective patient care.

Key responsibilities include completing a comprehensive training programme in 12-14 months, demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning, and providing skilled clinical and technical assistance to anaesthetists. You will also work collaboratively as part of the theatre team to ensure maximum quality care for patients undergoing anaesthesia.

To be considered for this role, applicants must be NZ-trained Registered Nurses with a current APC and have relevant experience in Theatre, Emergency PACU ICU/HDU environments. A strong interest in working in a technical role that complements nursing skills is essential.
