As a Senior Power Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating electrical system designs with other engineering disciplines, vendors, and design team members. You will also participate in technical review and quality control of design drawings and documents to ensure compliance with New Zealand and Australian electrical codes and standards.

You will work on a broad spectrum of MV and LV projects across New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific, including substations, treatment plants, dairy facilities, and transmission and distribution. Your strong working knowledge of medium voltage design, electrical system protection and control, and detailed design deliverables will be valuable assets to our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management principles and be able to multi-task managing multiple projects/priorities and deliver excellent project outcomes within deadlines.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • 7+ years of electrical design experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of medium voltage design, electrical system protection and control, and detailed design deliverables.
  • Understanding of New Zealand and Australian electrical codes and standards.
