Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Wellbeing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our school counselling / wellbeing service, you will work closely with school leadership teams, children, and whanau to understand and support the wellbeing needs of learners at the school and within their whanau.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in providing strengths-based counselling modalities for various issues, including bereavement, trauma, parenting, self-harm, anxiety, and resilience.
  • Able to apply Maori models of wellbeing and basic tikanga practices to ensure cultural safety for Maori clients, team members, and self.
  • Validated training in relevant interventions such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, and current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) as relevant to membership/registration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including competence in professional report writing.
