Occupational Therapy Specialist

About the Role
Focused on occupational therapy assessment and intervention, you will develop knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation with a range of conditions. These include orthopaedic, neurological, and more general age-related deconditioning. As part of an interprofessional team, you will plan and provide patient-centred rehabilitation services.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide both inpatient and community Occupational Therapy services to the Waitaki Region.
- Collaborate as part of an interprofessional team to achieve positive outcomes for patients.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and skills through ongoing support and professional development programmes.
About You
- A team player with enthusiasm and a passion for the Occupational Therapy profession.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach towards learning.
- Able to work autonomously with a practical and solution-focused approach.
- Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and a current APC.
- Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
