UHT Plant Optimization Expert

We're seeking an experienced UHT Plant Optimization Expert to join our R&D team in Christchurch.

In this role, you'll lead the development and refinement of cutting-edge processes to enhance product performance and drive technical excellence in dairy processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • R&D Pilot Plant Leadership: Oversee and manage the R&D UHT Pilot Plant, ensuring seamless execution of trials, preventative maintenance, GMP standards, and compliance with HACCP and Quality programs.
  • Processing Innovation: Develop and refine cutting-edge processes, such as UHT treatment, powder hydration, homogenization, and membrane filtration, to enhance product performance.
  • Scale-Up & Industrialization: Work closely with Product Development Technologists and site engineering teams to scale up pilot plant successes into full-scale production.
  • Project Management: Lead multiple R&D processing projects, ensuring timely execution, technical excellence, and alignment with business goals.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong background in Chemical Engineering/Food Engineering/Processing Engineering, preferably with experience in the dairy industry.

We're looking for someone with exceptional skills in analysis, problem-solving, and communication, as well as experience in managing and leading high-performing teams.
