Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to join our Supported Independent Living team in Auckland. As a Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing a team of support workers, developing new approaches to enhance service delivery, and collaborating with the broader team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, disability, or social services, with a sound theoretical knowledge of intellectual disability and/or mental health. You will also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of support workers to deliver high-quality care and support services
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes
  • Collaborate with the Community Facilitator to develop goal development, community integration, and planning
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies
  • Provide training and leadership to support workers to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelors-level qualification in a relevant area such as health, teaching, psychology, social work, or management
  • Background working in the health, disability, or social services sector and sound theoretical knowledge of intellectual disability and/or mental health
  • Demonstrate training, leadership, and resource management skills
  • Experience in managing teams and human services essential
  • Class 1 Full NZ Drivers Licence
  • Experience and qualifications in mental health
