We are a forward-thinking department of 16 consultants in Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Lakes, dedicated to providing exceptional anaesthetic services.
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Consultant Anaesthetists to join our team. We have three permanent positions available, with the possibility of expanding our services and department.
Key Responsibilities
As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality anaesthetic care to patients. Your duties will include participating in on-call commitments, reviewing our current system and improving work/life balance, and contributing to the development of our department.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have completed your specialist training (preferably FANZCA +/ FCICM) and be eligible to obtain provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Experience in Intensive Care Medicine is highly desirable, although formal qualification(s) in ICU are not a requirement.
Benefits
We offer a competitive package including a full-time role with a commitment of 6 clinical sessions per week and 3 non-clinical sessions. In addition, you will cover an after-hours roster that looks after normal Anaesthetic work and our level 2 ICU.
