As a psychological care coordinator at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of older adults in central Auckland. About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate clinical psychologist to join our Awhi Mātua team. In this role, you will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to provide comprehensive psychological assessments, interventions, and support services.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working together to develop care plans, advocate for patient goals, and coordinate solutions that promote independence and well-being. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality psychological assessments and treatments using evidence-based best practices.
  2. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to design care plans and advocate for patient goals.
  3. Coordinate solutions to promote independence and well-being, including case management and consultation services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology.
  • NZ Registered Clinical Psychologist with current APC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
