About the Role:

  • Assume overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project on-site.
  • Monitor the principal contractor and other subcontractors to ensure they work safely, in compliance with New Zealand Health & Safety and Environmental regulations, and according to company policies and procedures.
  • Inspect and monitor all aspects of construction work on a day-to-day basis.
  • Escalate defects and non-conformances promptly.
  • Ensure the implementation of Project Plans, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Waste Management Plans in compliance with Zenobē and New Zealand legislative requirements.
  • Keep detailed records of work progress, issues, and activities on-site.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager (SPM) to produce progress reports and lookahead schedules.
  • Monitor and control project changes and variations.
  • Provide problem-solving and facilitation support when issues arise.
  • Interface directly with the client, ensuring excellent client relations.
  • Work across multiple sites as required across New Zealand.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in delivering HV/LV electrical infrastructure construction projects.
  • Hands-on experience and ability to interpret civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering drawings and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand Health & Safety and Environmental regulations, design and construction standards, and quality assurance.
  • Relevant Health & Safety certifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-driven approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Desire to work in the renewable energy and e-Mobility sectors.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Full Driver's License.
  • Flexibility with working locations in New Zealand.
