Infrastructure Project Lead

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead our 3 Waters infrastructure projects. With a strong background in civil engineering, you will be responsible for managing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage 3 Waters infrastructure projects, including water supply, wastewater, stormwater, and drainage and pipeline systems.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Address and resolve on-site challenges to maintain project momentum and quality.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, ensuring the highest standards are met.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including reports and records.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in 3 Waters infrastructure projects, including drainage and pipeline systems.
- Strong understanding of water supply, wastewater, stormwater systems, and relevant standards and best practices.
- Proven experience in major civil D&C construction projects and familiarity with NZS3916 and the Construction Contracts Act.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Excellent leadership qualities and a history of successfully managing staff and subcontractors.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Financial focus towards project costs and proven ability in subcontractor management.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Engineer with a BE, NZCE, or a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
