">The Role
">We are seeking an experienced Nurse Educator to join our Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) team. As a key member of our clinical education team, you will provide expert nursing leadership in clinical practice, act as a resource for new staff orientating to the area, and develop educational opportunities for staff within the cluster.
">You will lead nursing education and promote research and evidence-based practice within our service. Our Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) provides support to our Nurse Entry to Practice (NetP) and Registered Nurses new to the specialty.
">About the Service
">Our postanaesthetic support service provides care to 13 different surgical specialties, including paediatric and obstetric components. We have a strong commitment to quality patient care and strive to deliver excellent outcomes.
">About You
">To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a passion for clinical education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and expertise within adult learning. You will also be self-directed with great initiative and have excellent time management and organizational skills.
">Your accessible and supportive nature will enable you to act as a highly valued resource for both new and existing staff, making you an excellent asset to our growing team. You will be someone who has a passion for adult education and a desire to develop this role and your own capability to meet the needs of the service.
">Requirements
">Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC). Currently hold or be working towards a certificate in adult teaching and/or a relevant postgraduate qualification in nursing.
