About the Role
">- We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Event Planning Specialist to join our team at Auckland Transport Operations Centre (ATOC).
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting ATOC's planning for a diverse range of events and activities, mitigating the impact of activities on our transport network.
- You will have the opportunity to assist with the planning for major sporting fixtures, concerts, protests, and significant weather events.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of operational plans, administration, finance support, and reporting.
- Coordination of successful public transport operations and ensuring seamless communication to customers through our ambassador and security teams.
- Gaining valuable TTM qualifications to be successful in this role.
About You
- An exceptionally positive attitude and work ethic.
- A keenness to develop your knowledge and capability in the event planning space.
- Excellent administration and organisation skills.
- A high level of proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
Benefits
- An appointment base salary from $75,000 - $80,000 per annum.
- KiwiSaver employer contribution of 3% on top of base salary.
- A flexible working environment with five weeks annual leave.

- ATOC is a joint venture between Auckland Transport and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi.
- We work behind the scenes to ensure our network keeps moving and that whoever uses it has a safe and efficient journey.
- Based at Smales Farm, ATOC is a 24/7 operation responsible for real-time monitoring of the network for both planned and unplanned events.
