About the Role
As a Tuakana Youth Mentor, you'll work closely with rangatahi, whānau, and Oranga Tamariki to develop positive outcomes and goals that will support rangatahi in their future lives. This role requires a deep understanding of community dynamics and whānau needs, as well as excellent communication and networking skills. You'll also be required to attend Youth Justice huis and complete assessments and court reports as needed. If you're passionate about supporting rangatahi and their families, we'd love to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Working with rangatahi, whānau, and Oranga Tamariki to develop positive outcomes and goals.
  • Providing support and guidance to rangatahi and their families.
  • Networking with professionals and community services to provide wrap-around services.
  • Attending Youth Justice huis and completing assessments and court reports as needed.
