About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Regional Rangatahi Inpatient Service (RRAIS) team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing effective occupational therapy services for clients, facilitating their increased functioning and enabling them to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address client's specific needs and goals.
  • Provide appropriate and effective occupational therapy services to clients, incorporating the four domains of Te Whare Tapa Wha.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to discuss client progress, share knowledge, and develop strategies for improvement.

Requirements:

  • CURRENT ANNUAL PRACTICING CERTIFICATE required.
  • PROVEN EXPERIENCE in child and adolescent mental health sector and experience in the day-to-day running of the therapeutic day program alongside the wider team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to working within a bicultural framework and embracing the principles of Te Whare Tapa Wha.
