We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team, responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and producing high-quality diagnostic images.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nuclear medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and Administration: Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
  • Patient Preparation: Explain imaging procedures to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring comfort during scanning.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate PET and SPECT scans, maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Image Processing: Process images on various organs, applying knowledge of anatomy and pathology.
  • Reaction Monitoring: Monitor patients for unusual reactions to radioactive drugs, responding promptly to any adverse effects.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of radiopharmaceutical use and procedures, facilitating efficient patient care and research.
  • Image Generation: Produce computer-generated or film images for interpretation by physicians, ensuring high-quality diagnostic information.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety procedures to protect staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly maintain and examine medical machines and imaging equipment, preventing technical issues and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with frequent advances, innovations, and developments in the field, enhancing professional growth and expertise.

Requirements:

  • BSc or PG in Nuclear Medicine with registration certification (eLora)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with a reputed Hospital
  • Competently operate imaging equipment
  • Good manual dexterity and mechanical abilities
