Job Description
As our Logistics Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring we meet the supply and distribution needs of our customers across New Zealand. You will work closely with our Supply & Distribution Manager and LPG teams, suppliers, and contractors to manage a portfolio of work that is interesting, varied, and critical to our business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing a wide range of analytical tasks, including forecasting, modelling, and creating and maintaining models and spreadsheets to support contract pricing and budgeting processes.
- Using analysis and modelling to make recommendations to the business and our suppliers that ensure we are operating efficiently, effectively, and safely.
- Creating regular and ad-hoc reports using reporting tools like Power BI.
- Handling and resolving issues related to supply, demand, and/or the logistics chain.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Analytical expertise, including proficiency in forecasting, modelling, and data analysis to support decision-making and optimise supply and distribution operations.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in budgeting, cost tracking, and maintaining various systems and databases.
- Problem-solving skills, ability to identify inefficiencies, potential risks, and areas for improvement, and develop strategic solutions.
- Communication skills, clear and effective communication with internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and senior staff, ensuring alignment and collaboration to drive business success.
