We require a skilled data scientist to contribute to our innovative space transportation startup operating in multiple countries.
This role involves working on cutting-edge aerospace projects, requiring expertise in scientific data analysis, software development, and infrastructure management.
As a data scientist, you will handle large datasets, optimize data pipelines, and maintain robust backend systems for data processing and analysis.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data processing pipelines for scientific analysis.
- Leverage Python for data wrangling, visualization, and machine learning applications in a Linux environment.
- Ensure proper database management, including clustering, replication, backup, and retention policies.
- Configure and maintain networking infrastructure and backend systems.
- Troubleshoot UNIX/POSIX environments, including bash scripting, SSH, and Docker.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications with Docker and Docker Compose.
- Collaborate with Proxmox for virtualization and system management.
Necessary Skills:
- System Administration: Strong database management experience, including SQL and cluster replication. Advanced knowledge of UNIX/Linux, including bash scripting and SSH.
- Data Science: Expert proficiency in Python for data analysis, visualization, and development. Strong knowledge of data wrangling, processing, and pipeline construction. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
- Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths or similar.
- Qualifications: We are looking for aptitude, show us your skills.
