About Us

Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) is an international forest and wood products company operating in local and global timber markets.

We work closely with our parent company in Japan – WoodOne, and own three wood processing plants in the North Island, as well as forests in the Wairarapa and East Coast regions.

Our business involves processing Radiata Pine into reconstituted wood panels and peeled, dried veneer at our Triboard Mill in Kaitaia, where we are currently working a 5½ day / 24 hr operation.

About the Role

We are seeking two experienced and motivated individuals to join our team as Production Planners based at our Triboard Mill in Kaitaia. The successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment criminal history check and medical check.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect order information using JDE and JK systems
  • Monitor and report actual raw materials usage against plan
  • Establish production plans for Sander and Cutlines
  • Administer inventory, including physical stock takes and reporting to Head Office
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels and rotation
  • Organise road and shipping logistics
  • Administer product specification database and costings using JDE
  • Supervise activity related to inventory control
  • Ensure all items are appropriately received and stored
  • Work directly with management to bring them up to date regarding stock inflow and outflow
  • Provide recommendations to management
  • Review balance of inventory and count items in stock
  • Investigate hitches in the warehouse inventory system
