Civix Ltd is seeking a skilled Urban Planner to join our team. As an Intermediate Urban Planner, you will play a key role in resource consent applications for land development projects.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and personable professional to work with a fast-growing company, collaborating with a great team on a large pipeline of projects. You will be responsible for writing AEE's for small to medium-sized development projects, undertaking preliminary site reviews, and assisting senior staff with complex applications.

Responsibilities:
  1. Write accurate and comprehensive AEE's for resource consent applications
  2. Conduct thorough preliminary site reviews for prospective developers and purchasers
  3. Assist senior staff with complex resource consent applications, including meeting attendance and liaison with project teams
  4. Develop and maintain professional knowledge and contacts within the industry
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in planning or a closely related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Planner in New Zealand. Holding or being eligible for 'Graduate' or 'Intermediate' NZPI membership is also essential.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Familiarity with Auckland Unitary Plan (AUP) and Council's GIS Online Mapping
