Job Description

We're a team of tax advisors in our specialist Global Mobility Tax business who work closely with our clients, building long-lasting relationships that create value.

As an Associate in our Global Mobility Tax team in Auckland, you will specialise in providing global companies with tax advice and assistance in managing their cross-border and remote working employees. Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Advising global organisations on their employer tax obligations in respect of cross-border employees.
  2. Proactively managing client engagements under the guidance and support of experienced senior staff members within our specialist team.
  3. Undertaking tax consultations with employees to discuss the NZ tax implications of their assignment or remote working arrangement.
  4. Completing individual tax returns, provisional tax calculations, shadow payrolls, and FBT returns.
  5. Providing advice on employer share plan reporting obligations.
  6. Researching and applying tax legislation.
  7. Liaising with Inland Revenue as required.
  8. Working with leading digital tools to drive new efficiencies in our processes.
  9. Collaborating with overseas offices within the Vialto Partners network to deliver services in respect to New Zealand tax obligations.
