We seek a part-time Consultant General Paediatrician to carry out general paediatric duties in Rotorua and Taupo. You will be part of a stable experienced team and have opportunities to work with newly qualified specialists seeking a supportive environment to begin their consultant career.

Job Description

You will provide services in Rotorua and Taupo, participate in a 1:8 acute call roster, and enjoy excellent support from specialty teams. Well-established links with tertiary centres ensure comprehensive support for your role.

Department Details

The paediatrician team consists of ten specialists, three registrars, and dedicated paediatric SHO support. The department is accredited by RACP for registrar training, and we also provide attachments/teaching for 5th and 6th year medical students from the University of Auckland Medical School.

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo. The region offers many outdoor recreational activities, including mountain biking, skiing, and fishing, as well as family-friendly beaches within an hour's drive.
