Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at the Federal Government Of Australia. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide competent patient-centred care that addresses health needs and promotes wellness.
  • Deliver good clinical care by conducting health assessments, diagnosing and treating patients, and referring them to other providers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with professional and company standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide optimal care and participate in peer review activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain current knowledge of legislation affecting medical practice.
  • Protect patients' trust and confidentiality while working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Use electronic systems effectively and follow company policies regarding clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Registration as a medical practitioner in New Zealand with a current, valid practising certificate.
  • Vocational registration or at least 18 months of practical experience as a General Practitioner.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and cultural competency.
  • Clinical competence and commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Proficiency in using patient management systems and basic software applications.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
