Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Night Class Tutor (Electrical) at The Electrical Training Company (Etco), New Zealand's leading provider of electrical apprenticeships and training.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of trainees in off-job work environments.
  • Deliver Etco-approved courses to a high standard, ensuring all learning materials are accessible and up-to-date.
  • Career Development: Coach, support, and mentor apprentices, monitoring their progress and raising concerns where necessary.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain high standards of workshops and classrooms, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Educational Qualifications: Electrical registration and current practising licence, with a sound understanding of the NCEEE qualification.
  • Professional Experience: Extensive experience in the electrical industry, ideally with a qualification in Adult Learning & Teaching (CALT) or equivalent.
  • Personal Qualities: A passion for mentoring, education, and supporting young learners, with a commitment to upholding high standards in safety and course delivery.
