About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Dunedin. As a Child and Youth Psychiatrist, you will provide specialist mental health services for 14-18 year olds.

Our teams consist of health professionals who deliver a range of specialist mental health services, working collaboratively with primary healthcare, education, and NGO sectors. You will be responsible for assessment, treatment, and clinical leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to service user and family inclusion, a focus on recovery, and a sound understanding of biculturalism. They will also be willing to participate in Telehealth appointments and rural-based clinics as needed.

  • Provide clinical leadership and medical input to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
  • Maintain high standards of practice and adhere to professional guidelines.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must have a Fellowship with the RANZCP or equivalent, be eligible for registration with the NZ Medical Council, and hold a full driver's licence. A tertiary hospital background is highly desirable, with experience in supervising registrars and participating in on-call rosters.

Benefits

This permanent, 0.8 FTE role offers a competitive salary range of $185,380 - $267,980 per annum, pro rata, with opportunities for career growth and development within our organisation.
