About the Role

The Safety & Sustainability Coordinator will provide expert advice and support to the business on health and safety, sustainability, and employee well-being initiatives.

This role is responsible for conducting research, collecting insights, and supporting the planning and implementation of related projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to first-level enquiries from team members and managers in relation to Health & Safety and injury management;
  • Ensuring H&S and Sustainability matters are proactively addressed during hiring and on-boarding;
  • Preparing data and insights for H&S and Sustainability reports;
  • Providing assistance/training for managers and employees on H&S system usage;
  • Preparing draft content for internal and external communication on sustainability initiatives;
  • Supporting the coordination and delivery of P&C, H&S and wellbeing initiatives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years' experience in a Safety and/or Sustainability coordination position;
  • 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment;
  • Tertiary level qualification in HR, Safety or Sustainability;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety and sustainability strategies and practices;
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Keen eye for attention to detail;
  • Understanding of, and ability to apply, H&S legislation and case law in an ANZ context;
  • Experience using an HRIS or Safety database/software.
