This is a pivotal role within our Dunedin branch, playing a crucial part in the success of our inventory management process. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will be responsible for purchasing and maintaining accurate stock levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage branch inventory as per best practice documents for inventory and cycle counting processes.
  • Ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding special orders.
  • Monitor and drive cycle count to guarantee the accuracy of our inventory.
  • Investigate any stock discrepancies, resolving items out of stock promptly.
  • Process and follow up on product returns, repairs, and warranty claims.
  • Forecast stock levels and run monthly reports.

About You:

To thrive in this role, you should be a keen learner, not afraid to ask questions. Proven experience in inventory management or inwards goods is essential, preferably in retail or distribution.

Required Skills:

  • Computer and numeracy knowledge with the ability to quickly adapt and be systems-oriented.
  • Thriving problem-solving skills and great attention to detail.
  • A solid all-rounder who takes pride in work and can multi-task while working to deadlines and remaining calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with people from all ages and backgrounds.
