In this position, you will:

  • Develop scalable, high-performance applications using Node.js and React, Angular.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases using JavaScript/TypeScript for server-side (Node.js) and client-side (Angular) applications.
  • Contribute to technical implementation plans and participate in driving the technical product roadmap.
  • Coach junior engineers to enhance their technical skills and navigate project challenges.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new staff to ensure they are proficient in software development.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, RTE's, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligning with business objectives.
  • Oversee technical debt management, ensuring projects remain maintainable and scalable over time.

About You

You will have at least 6 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on Node.js, Angular, and React. You will be able to provide technical direction to teams in NZ and India and be involved in strategic activities. This position requires the following skills:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • AWS Proficiency: Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud architectures.
  • Ability to solve technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity.
  • Ability to transition to new engineering languages and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
