About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team based in Papakura. This key supervisory role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the site and fleet, including run efficiencies, maintenance, and management of your team.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Allocating resources to handle incoming waste volumes at a busy 7-day-a-week refuse transfer station.
- Ensuring data and transactional activities are undertaken in line with company procedures.
- Forecasting and scheduling site and mobile plant workload and maintenance requirements.
- Maintaining site compliance requirements.
- Managing a small team of plant operators.
- Interaction with customers, the general public, and contractors.
- Providing site and service that is safe, efficient, and easy to use for customers and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant experience and a track record managing public interfacing transactional facilities, active experience in managing mobile plant, such as loaders/excavators.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively with the public and a wide-ranging customer base.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as an excellent focus on safety, are crucial for this role.
A passion to take ownership of a business unit and progress ongoing improvements is essential.
