**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to lead practice in our Whangarei region. As a Practice Leader, you will be responsible for coaching, developing, mentoring, and supervising social work staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to make a positive impact on the lives of tamariki and whanau.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead practice in accordance with Oranga Tamariki's standards and expectations
- Develop and implement strategies to improve practice outcomes for tamariki and whanau
- Mentor and supervise social work staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve better results for whanau
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Full registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB)
- Social worker qualification recognized by the SWRB
- Expert experience in managing complex practice and casework
- Able to work collaboratively with peers and stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and experience of what Oranga Tamariki does and how we work
