Security Information Systems Engineer

The Role: We are looking for a highly skilled EIS Developer to join our team in the Enterprise Information Security Group (EISG) within the NCSC. As an EIS Developer, you will be responsible for managing and reducing risk within the information security enterprise of the New Zealand Intelligence Community, protecting some of New Zealand's most critical information. You will be part of a small team that works hard to build, maintain, and enhance EISG infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To design, develop, and deploy web applications using modern technologies and frameworks
  • To integrate different systems together, including by API
  • To work collaboratively with the team to build, maintain, and enhance EISG infrastructure

Skills and Experience: To succeed in this position, you will need experience as a cyber-incident responder or SOC analyst, with a strong understanding of operating systems such as Unix/Linux and Windows. You should also have experience with cloud and on-prem security tools, including security monitoring, log analysis, and forensic tools. Additionally, you will need experience with DevOps processes and tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Git.
