**About the Role**
The Kenepuru Community ORA Team is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary service. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with patients to provide assessment and advice on equipment, wheeled mobility, and housing modification to support their needs.
This community-based role involves working with individuals and families to maximize their independence at home and achieve their functional goals. You will have the opportunity to expand your practice within wheeled mobility provision and apply your skills to an early response strategy, offering diversity and professional development opportunities.
The teams are multidisciplinary, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech-language Therapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, Liaison Nurses, and Allied Health Assistants, with close links with Nurse Practitioners, Geriatricians, and a Rehabilitation Physician.
We offer on-going professional development opportunities, including inter-professional practice training, professional support, profession-specific training through the relevant professional leaders, and clinical supervision.
About **You**
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is a team player and has a broad range of skills with an interest in working in a community setting. You will have sound clinical skills and experience working with older adults and thrive in a team environment.
You will have the ability to build rapport with patients and whānau from all backgrounds and have a clear understanding of the health needs of our Māori and Pacific Island communities.
