About the Role
">Intellectual Disability Secure Service is seeking a dynamic and versatile Clinical Support Specialist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and rehabilitation services for clients with intellectual disabilities and complex needs.
">About the Team/Service/Location
">The Intellectual Disability Secure Service provides secure care and rehabilitation services for male and female adults and adolescents who have a diagnosed intellectual disability and have committed serious offenses. Our service is part of the broader Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS), which spans the Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital, Coast District and includes local, regional, and national services.
">Your Skills and Experience
">- ">
- Experience/knowledge with practical skills used when working alongside clients individually or in groups.">
- At least level 4 NZQA National Certificate in Community Health Support Services (or equivalent qualification).">
- Good written and oral English skills.">
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.">
- Flexibility and adaptability with excellent time management skills.">
- The ability to work under direction and proactively carry out tasks independently in a culturally safe way.">
