Role Overview
As a Community Physiotherapist with Waitemata District Health Board, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the community. You will assess, treat, and manage a range of clinical presentations in patients' homes, working independently to manage a caseload and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, ability to work autonomously, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and treating patients with varied clinical conditions, including general mobility, balance, and falls, as well as chronic neurological, MSK, and respiratory conditions.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet patients' needs and goals.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- NZ Physiotherapy registration and current annual practising certificate.
- Valid full New Zealand driver's license.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a community physiotherapy setting, preferably with a focus on general mobility, balance, and falls, as well as chronic neurological, MSK, and respiratory conditions.
