At Te whatu ora, you will have the opportunity to work with large datasets in an analytically focused role.

This position will see you working with clients to identify their needs, preparing data and analysis in response, and developing data visualisation products to communicate your findings across a range of technical and non-technical audiences.

About You

  • You write high-quality and re-usable code in R and/or SQL, or another programming language.
  • You have a passion for understanding data, and producing insightful and accurate data analytics.
  • You understand and use best practice for programming and coding, and enjoy contributing to making code more efficient.
  • You enjoy working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and organisations, can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and can meet client needs with a helpful and positive approach.

Skills and Experience

A tertiary qualification in a statistical, mathematical, analytical or other relevant field and/or equivalent experience is required. Technical ability to work in a programming language, such as R, SQL, Python, or others, is also necessary. Previous experience working with data or in an analytically focused role or setting is highly valued.
