Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Technologist to join our Research and Development team, undertaking R&D with commercial intent in support of Tatua's Nutritionals business unit. This diverse role encompasses new product development projects at both pilot and commercial scale, involving design, planning, and execution of trials at lab, pilot, and factory scale, and working on products from initial concepts right through to commercialisation.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves:

  1. Designing, planning, and executing pilot experiments and product trials using dairy processing techniques.
  2. Co-ordinating and influencing cross-functional teams in the planning, preparation, and review of commercial trials.
  3. Developing sound technical understanding and hypotheses underpinning experimental plans and process design.
  4. Communicating effectively, when speaking, writing, or presenting.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
  1. R&D experience in dairy, food technology, or protein purification and separations.
  2. A relevant food technology, biochemistry, or chemical/process engineering degree.
  3. Interpersonal skills to collaborate well and to lead project discussions and trial planning.
  4. A fantastic attitude, coupled with curiosity and initiative.
