Content Distribution Specialist

We are seeking three experienced professionals to join our team as On Air Controllers. In this role, you will be responsible for the distribution of multiple channels across all Sky products and platforms.

You will work with broadcast and streaming technology to ensure that all content plays as scheduled across our Sport Channels, while also meeting the streaming requirements of our partners.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Delivering content, including live and non-live events, and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all content distribution and ensuring that programme, commercial, and promotional content is played out according to guidelines and priorities as scheduled.
  • FOLLOWING established procedures to ensure tasks are performed to the highest standard.
  • Exercising editorial skills and judgment when adjusting the schedule while adhering to Sky's format and promotional guidelines.
  • Skilled operation of On Air tools to maintain delivery standards.
  • Identifying and resolving issues/potential issues and taking appropriate action.
  • Communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity and accuracy of content where changes and key decisions are required.

This role requires strong organisational and time management skills, a solutions-focused mindset, and the ability to think critically under pressure.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma in Broadcast Communications or a tertiary qualification from a recognised Broadcasting School.
  • Experience in a similar or related role, preferably with at least 2 years' experience as an On Air Controller/Presentation Director.
  • A working understanding of Broadcast Standards Authority regulations and implications.
  • A passion for sport is a plus.
