Ambient Air Quality Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake air quality impact assessments for a variety of clients across New Zealand and Australia
- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to grow our offering in Air Quality
- Prepare proposals, budget estimates, project management and delivery of air quality projects
- Work cooperatively with SLR staff across Australia and New Zealand on a range of Air Quality and multidiscipline projects
- Work within local regulations and with local regulators to deliver the above

Required Skills and Qualifications
- University qualifications (bachelor's degree or higher) in Environmental Science or a related field
- 5+ years' experience as an Air Quality specialist and preferably within a consulting environment
- A high level of understanding of the local regulatory environment and best practice air quality assessments methods and analysis
- Proficiency in air quality modelling software (e.g., TAPM, AERMOD, CALPUFF, GRAL), GIS applications, and data analysis tools (e.g. Excel)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently with support from the wider SLR Air Quality team and other SLR disciplines as required
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
