About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Day Service Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Enliven Day Service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that older generations and those living with disabilities have access to community-based programs.

As a Day Service Support Worker, your primary responsibility will be to provide care and support to clients attending our local Day Service. This includes preparing and delivering engaging activities, helping clients participate in meaningful ways, and associated administration tasks.

You will work closely with our clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to understand their needs and preferences. Your excellent communication skills, patience, and ability to adapt to changing circumstances will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver interactive activities for groups of clients
  • Assist clients with daily tasks, such as meal preparation and distribution
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Health and Wellbeing certification at Level 3 or higher
  • Experience working with older adults, including those with dementia or disabilities
  • A Full New Zealand Driver's License
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring and positive attitude
