About our team:The Research Data Integration group is part of the Biomedical Datahub Division of the Bioinformatics Institute (BII) at A*STAR. We aim to bridge the complexity of computational biology and data science with the needs of biologists and clinicians to drive biological discoveries and predict translational outcomes. Our team seeks individuals who can help us analyze, integrate, and interpret multi-omics, imaging, and clinical data generated by biomedical institutes, healthcare institutions, and national initiatives in Singapore.

Job requirements:We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a data scientist. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology, or data science, and experience in large-scale data analysis and machine learning. The candidate should be proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, and Unix/Linux environment. Experience in cloud architecture and large-scale omics data analysis is highly desirable.

  1. PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  2. Proficient programming skills (e.g., Python, R, Jupyter Notebook)
  3. Familiarity with Unix/Linux environment and cloud architecture (AWS)
