About the Role
We are seeking two enthusiastic and knowledgeable individuals to join our Lived Experience Advisory Team. As Lived Experience Advisors, you will play a key role in shaping our organisation's policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives through your lived experience lens.
Your Key Responsibilities
- You will work closely with our Mental Health Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) team to ensure that our organisation is responsive to the needs of people with lived experience.
- You will contribute to the development of strategies and processes aimed at improving health equity for Māori, Pacific peoples, and priority populations.
- You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote cultural safety and responsiveness throughout our organisation.
About You
- You must have personal lived experience of accessing mental health and addiction services.
- You must have an understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how they apply to the health sector.
- You must be able to recognise and champion the voices of current tāngata whai ora in quality improvement, service design, and delivery.
