About the Role

We are seeking two enthusiastic and knowledgeable individuals to join our Lived Experience Advisory Team. As Lived Experience Advisors, you will play a key role in shaping our organisation's policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives through your lived experience lens.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. You will work closely with our Mental Health Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) team to ensure that our organisation is responsive to the needs of people with lived experience.
  2. You will contribute to the development of strategies and processes aimed at improving health equity for Māori, Pacific peoples, and priority populations.
  3. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote cultural safety and responsiveness throughout our organisation.

About You

  • You must have personal lived experience of accessing mental health and addiction services.
  • You must have an understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how they apply to the health sector.
  • You must be able to recognise and champion the voices of current tāngata whai ora in quality improvement, service design, and delivery.
