About Our Team

We provide specialist mental health services for children and adolescents with moderate-to-severe mental health conditions. Our multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively with other community agencies to deliver holistic and culturally-appropriate care.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents in our region.
  • Contribute to our multidisciplinary teams, working closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists.

As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will be vocationally registered in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or hold an equivalent qualification. Specialty Training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry is essential. You must be able to work comfortably and flexibly within a team environment.

We operate three hospitals – Wellington Regional Hospital, Hutt Valley Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital – as well as the Kapiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.
