At Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, we are committed to providing exceptional healthcare services. Our Child Health Service offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain wide exposure to neonatal and paediatric medicine with excellent consultant and multi-disciplinary team support.

About the Role

We have a strong core of general paediatrics with subspecialists in paediatric developmental, endocrine, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, neurology, and respiratory medicine. A tertiary level neonatal intensive care unit is located on campus, and our paediatric surgery and Haematology/Oncology services provide care across the entire South Island.

  • Gaining experience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks.
  • Applying Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches in healthcare settings.

You will have at least 6 months' experience in Paediatrics at the level of House Officer or Registrar. Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth is essential.
