About the Role

This Medical Registrar position offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic team, delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of future Physicians. As a Medical Registrar, you will work across various RACP accredited training runs, gaining valuable experience and expertise in General Medicine.

  • Our team provides an extensive basic training program, designed to support your success in becoming a Physician. This includes regular study groups, case preparation, and Saturday morning clinical sessions.
  • You will have access to quality examination support, resulting in good FRACP pass rates. Examples of the support on offer include access to the Dunedin written and clinical courses, regular study groups, case preparation, and Saturday morning clinical sessions.
  • This position allows you to link in with those at the forefront of research and teaching, thanks to our close relationships with the University of Otago's Dunedin School of Medicine.

Requirements

  • You should be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligible for general or provisional general registration.
  • You must be training towards a career as a Physician or wanting to gain experience in adult medicine towards a relevant career such as General Practice, Rural Hospital Medicine, Emergency, or Intensive Care.
  • A minimum of two years' post-qualification experience and a keen interest in General Medicine are preferred.
  • Advanced trainees must have passed the FRACP and be deemed by the RACP as having advanced into this category of training.
